"Lollypop the weapon, is what I tell everyone when I'm trying to teach sight picture," says SK2 Michael Hunziker, Marksmanship Training Instructor at the Battle Creek, Michigan Navy and Marine Corp Reserve Center. "I use the constant on feature of the LMTS laser to teach sight picture, and it saves a lot of time and significant explanation."

Hunziker says he tapes off a section of the base gym and sets up his training scenarios. "I go through a standard safety course before anyone handles a weapon. I teach sight picture and trigger pull and use the LMTS system to show how the sight picture works and how trigger pull effects the weapon. I also have a shooting exam that each of the recruits and veterans I'm training must pass before going to the live-fire range. For anyone having a problem, I set up a one-on-one remedial training scenario where I run through the basics until they have it right. LMTS gives me instant feedback that I use to correct any mistakes."

Hunziker says the LMTS "Train the Trainer" course is some of the best training he's ever received. "The 'Train the Trainer' course gives you every training scenario you'll ever run into. I worked with one stubborn veteran this year that was determined to shoot with his left eye even though he was right hand and right eye dominant. I knew from his stance what he was doing wrong and I used the LMTS equipment to show him how to improve his shooting. He really turned his shooting around. I love the system. It's the best training I've received in 18 years of service."
